The final dungeon of the main story, featuring a variety of weather effects and some meaner enemies.
There's a checkpoint during the first clear between 25F and 26F, and Rayquaza appears as a boss on 34F.
Ghost types and Levitate users appear, so starters like Cubone, Eevee, Meowth, and Skitty can have a harder time.
If possible, bring a party member that has Steamroll (Rare Quality) to alleviate type disadvantage issues.
Otherwise, you could use TMs to learn moves that can damage Ghost types, or just throw projectiles.
Dusclops (19-27F) and Aerodactyl (22-31F) both have Pressure as a possible ability, so bring lots of Max Ethers.
Forretress (1-6F) can know Bug Bite, so don't let it eat valuable apples, Oran Berries, Tiny Reviver Seeds, etc.

There are also some room-wide and ranged attackers to watch out for.
Room-wide attackers include Masquerain (1-8F), Ledian (12-20F), Venomoth (21-27F), and Flygon (25-31F).
Ranged attackers include Weezing (8-16F), Altaria (12-20F), Tropius (25-32F), Claydol (31-33F), and Salamence (31-33F).
Beware of Pursuit users when you have a bad status - Duskull, Dusclops, Scizor, Metagross.

Boss Strategy

First Clear

Rayquaza (1576 HP) - Hyper Voice / Hyper Beam / Extreme Speed / Twister

• Damage dealt to Rayquaza carries forward even if you wipe out, so you'll eventually win if you just keep trying.
• Rayquaza's Hyper Beam pierces 10 tiles ahead and is 3 tiles wide, and Twister is also a wide-area attack,
  so split up instead of staying in a group to avoid the entire party taking damage.
• Orbs are effective during boss fights in Rescue Team DX.

Rematch

Rayquaza (2300 HP) - Dragon Ascent / Hyper Beam / Extreme Speed / Twister

• The boss has 140 Attack and 110 Sp. Atk, so guest party members will likely faint very quickly.
• Use moves like Nuzzle or Thunder Wave to keep Rayquaza status-locked while other party members attack.
• Dragon Ascent is stronger than Hyper Beam, and hits all Pokemon in a 5 x 5 area in front of the user.
• Pounce Wand or Surround Wand can be nice for when party members become separated by wind.

Mega Rayquaza (2905 HP) - Dragon Ascent / Hyper Beam / Extreme Speed / Twister

• Delta Stream removes Mega Rayquaza's Flying type related weaknesses.
  • Rock, Electric, and Ice type attacks will deal less damage than the first phase.
  • Counters include using a Nullify Orb or bringing a party member who has Steamroll (Rare Quality).
• Again, aim to keep Mega Rayquaza status-locked while you let your other party members deal damage.
• Orbs that buff the entire party like All Power-Up Orb and All Protect Orb are also effective.
