Mystery Dungeon that aims to be more like a classic final dungeon from previous games in the series.
Shiren 6 mechanics like behemoths, cannons, bouncy walls, sacred gear, and wishing shrines don't appear.
That might sound similar to Researcher's Experimental Site, but Mixers can be found in this dungeon.
It features a unique monster and item table, instead of being a derivative of Heart of Serpentcoil Island or such.
There's a significant difference in quality between items found on the ground and items found in other ways.
Overall, it's basically a dungeon for players who want a more straightforward and traditional challenge.
Strategy
Dungeon Characteristics
Unique Monster Table
The monster table features lots of monsters that don't naturally appear in Heart of Serpentcoil Island.
Monster strength ramps up somewhat faster than most other dungeons (ex: 11F Pumpanshee, 15F Big Chintala).
Field Knaves and Gazers appear in the 10F range, Brodillo, Nigiri Morph, Curse Girl, Pot Knave in the 20F range,
Fencer from 37F - In other words, monsters that target items appear consistently throughout the dungeon.
Lv3-4 Dragons and Miracle Hen don't appear, but instead Porkon, Skull Lord, and Sleep Radish show up.
In particular, Lv3-4 Swordsman, Porkon, and Skull Lord appear on a wide range of floors near the end.
1 type of incense isn't enough to counter all threats, so Eradication Scroll, runes, and bracelets are essential.
Nigiri Baby doesn't spawn, but Nigiri Morph appears on 27F, so Nigiri Morph Factory can still be performed.
Unique Item Table
The item table seems to have a big difference in quality between floor items and item found in other ways,
with the latter methods including things like shiny wall tiles, items islands, Chow drops, and dungeon shops.
Island items can be claimed using Earthmound Staff, Walrus Pot, or by utilizing an Aquatic or Floating type foe.
Avoid using non-floor table unidentified items right away, since Eradication Scroll or Ill-fated Seed are possible.
It's best to store them separately from other items, and wait until you find an Identifier Scroll or shop.
High-Value Items in Shops
Floor table items are usually lower quality, so it's important to locate shops and obtain merchandise.
Shops aren't very uncommon, but they can be generated buried in wall tiles like Heart of Serpentcoil Island.
Some players swear that merchandise is higher quality in buried shops, but it's hard to give a definitive answer.
Nonetheless, these shops can have items like Upgrading Pot, Blank or Eradication scrolls, or rare gear for sale.
Blank Scrolls are much harder to come by than Heart of Serpentcoil Island, so think carefully before using them.
Nigiri Baby doesn't spawn → Sumo status isn't available, so it's difficult to enter buried shops early game.
Monster-find or Item-find bracelets let you spot shops, and Leaping Bracelet or Burrowing Staff grant entry.
Lastly, it's said that 10F, 25F, 51F, and 75F are nearly guaranteed to generate a dungeon shop.
General Advice
Early Game Tips
Pumpanshee (11-14F) and Big Chintala (15-21F) are the early game power monsters in this dungeon.
Don't hesitate to use staves and other resources in an effort to survive until the Mixer floor range.
Nigiri Morph (27-31F) provides a chance for you to raise Max Fullness to 200 and activate Sumo status.
Sumo status acts as a method of entry for buried shops, so don't be lazy and skip Nigiri Morph Factory.
Prepare items like Unlucky Staff and a shield that doesn't have any payback runes in advance.
Upgrading Equipment
Sacred items can't be found, so rune slots are going to be limited (Slot-adding Scroll appears in shops).
While it's tempting to choose gear with lots of rune slots, base value is the priority for early~mid game.
Aim for weapon and shield strengths of around 11+ by the time Big Chintala (15-21F) shows up.
Doutanuki and Wolfshead resonate for +3 item strength, making it an effective main set early on.
Maining gear with few rune slots has the advantage of being able to synthesize for upgrade value easily,
since once rune slots are full, you can fuse Break-Off Blade+1 or such without transferring bad runes.
It's extremely important to hold on to gear with positive upgrade value to synthesize later on.
Thankfully Mixers, Synthesis Pots, and pots to store synthesis ingredients in are all not super rare.
Safely check upgrade value for equipment by comparing prices in a shop, or by using a Removal Trap.
Fixer, Plating, Heavenly, Earthly, and Exorcism scrolls lift curses and let you check without a shop or trap,
so some players like to prioritize inserting unidentified scrolls into Identifier Pots early on.
Mixer (16-36F), Mixermon (45-57F), Mixergon (58-83F), and Mixerdon (84-99F) are the Mixer family floors.
In other words, the only floor ranges without the possibility of Mixers spawning is 1-15F and 37-44F.
You'll ideally want roughly 15 item strength by 20F, and 20 item strength + some decent runes by 29F.
It's worth carrying even gear with only +1 upgrade value considering the wide floor range Mixers spawn on,
though of course you'll want to keep your inventory balanced enough to deal with tricky situations if needed.
Utilizing Shops
Shops often have higher quality items, so aim to obtain merchandise one way or another.
Blank Scroll, Upgrading Pot, Kama Itachi, Axe of the Minotaur, Clairvoyant Bracelet, and Appraiser's Bracelet
are just some of the notable items that can be found in shops, so it's important to know how to steal.
Items like Mapping Scroll, Monster-find Bracelet, and Item-find Bracelet can be used to spot buried shops.
If you lack the above but have a way to dig through walls, use the Look Around command to search room edges.
Shops are common, so remember to sell items before stealing to make it easier to buy items in later shops.
Inventory Tips
Scrolls, staves, and other consumables that help you deal with stronger threats are common.
Preservation Pots are also pretty common, so keep a balance of synthesis ingredients and consumables.
If you don't need to use an item right away, insert it into a pot like Ordinary or Handtrapper pot.
There are usually lots of synthesis chances, so remember to combine staves to free up inventory space.
However, don't neglect to swing new staves 1 time to check for curses before synthesizing them.
Important Items
Main Weapon
Expect to burn resources and ultimately lose the run if you attempt to main a low attack power weapon early on.
Sets with high attack power (Katana, Doutanuki, Manji Kabura) should be used until you reach Mixers on 16F.
After that, aim to transfer to a high rune slot weapon like Golden Sword, Sickle of Salvation, or Primal Axe.
However, all-out power builds like Manji Kabura (Frontal Attack + Costly Hit + Voracious Hit) are also viable.
Weapon Runes
Runes that are effective against all monster families are a higher priority than type-effective runes.
Peach Club and Healing Sword have been sighted, but they're so rare that it's unrealistic to include their runes.
Costly Hit and Voracious Hit are powerful, but don't synthesize them until you have plenty of Gitan / Fullness.
Main Shield
Sets with high defense (Iron Shield, Wolfshead, Fuuma Shield) should be used until you reach Mixers on 16F,
then choose a main shield with 5 or more rune slots, and use Slot-adding Scrolls if you need more slots.
Golden Shield (Rustproof + 9 slots) and Wooden Shield (7 slots) are likely the highest slot shields,
followed by Bronze Shield (6 slots), Counter Shield (Retribution + 5 slots), and Watchful Shield (Keen + 5 slots).
Auspicious Omamori (Tough At 7 + 6 slots) and Kappa's Dish (Projectileproof + 6 slots) are shop-exclusive.
Shield Runes
The best runes for this dungeon are Jitter Payback, Onigiri Payback, Keen, Retribution, and Sating.
Onigiri Scroll is on the rare side and troublesome to identify, so consider writing it on a Blank Scroll.
The Rustproof rune is unnecessary for Mudsters (54-62F) if you manage to find a Rustproof Bracelet.
Heat-ban Incense or Eradication Scroll (Blank Scroll) is an effective substitute for the Anti-Blast rune,
but Reflective Incense alone isn't enough to counter the entire floor range for Skull Lords (77-99F).
Bracelets
Monster-find, Clairvoyant, Tiptoe, Appraiser's, Wallpass, and Haggling bracelets have been seen in shops.
Meanwhile Far-throwing, Strength, Fortune, Dreaded, Trapmore, Bad-aim, Rousing, Cursebreak, Cleansing,
Focusing, Leaping, Waterwalk, and Passage-find bracelets have been found on the ground.
1500 Gitan bracelets are very common, but most are Leaping, Far-throwing, Trapmore, Blasting, and Dreaded.
Item-losing and Gitan-losing bracelets are currently thought to be excluded from the item table.
Leaping Bracelet
Can be found on the ground, and lets you enter buried shops and Gitan rooms for free.
Avoid surprise attacks from Curse Girl, Nigiri Morph, etc. in hallways by warping to other rooms.
Activate the effect by walking to ensure safety, instead of by stepping in place or swinging your weapon.
Far-throwing Bracelet
Can be found on the ground, and it's actually pretty common in this dungeon.
Shines when you have lots of arrows, or when you have high-value Gitan bags in your inventory.
Strength Bracelet
Strength Grass and Special Onigiri are rare, and Kron's Challenges and Wishing Shrines are never generated,
so it's surprisingly difficult to increase Max Strength in Timeworn Cave compared to other dungeons.
Therefore, this bracelet can be helpful for boosting damage output, especially early~mid game.
Waterwalk Bracelet
Enter a waterway to safely regenerate HP on floors where Aquatic and Floating types don't appear.
Unequip the bracelet while standing on a water tile to warp elsewhere, even during Sumo status.
Also lets you take shortcuts, but beware of scrolls and food items that aren't in pots getting wet.
Rousing Bracelet
Protects against Asleep status caused by Sleep Trap, Sleep Radish (84-99F), and Skull Lord (77-99F).
Battler (77-83F) or Swordmaster (91-99F) can potentially disarm you while you're asleep if you lack this.
Though that said, Sleep Radishes usually aren't super common on the floors where they spawn.
Affixing Bracelet
Protects your equipped items from being disarmed by Swordsman family monsters.
Swordsman family floors include Fencer (37-44F), Battler (77-83F), and Swordmaster (91-99F).
Cursebreak Bracelet
Curse Girl (20-28F) overlaps with Mixer (16-36F), so this helps prevent being unable to synthesize your shield.
Curse Girl family floors include Curse Girl (20-28F) and Curse Matron (63-66F).
Fortune Bracelet
Nice bracelet to find near the start of a run, and can be used to counteract level-down effects.
Consider equipping it on floors where Twisty Hani family monsters, Skullmancer, and Skull Lord appear.
Of course, prioritize Rousing Bracelet against Skull Lord if you actually have that bracelet.
Pots / Incenses
Preservation and Synthesis pots are somewhat common.
The available incense types seem to be limited to Evasive, Reflective, Heat-ban, and Cautious.
Upgrading Pot and Degrading Pot have been reportedly seen on the ground, but they're very rare.
Handtrapper Pot
Insert an item, then use the stairs or step on a Removal Trap or Onigiri Trap to instantly free your hand.
Invincible Grass can also be eaten beforehand to insert items without your hand getting stuck in the pot.
It can also be used to unequip a cursed weapon, essentially letting you identify weapons in a pinch.
Upgrading Pot
Can be found on the ground, in a shop, or from a wall tile.
Think carefully about what item category you want to upgrade - Remember, staves are an option too.
Rejuvenation Pot
The ultimate HP, strength, and status recovery item.
If you're low on food, consider tapping this pot instead of stepping in place to recover HP.
Bottomless Pot
Steal from a shop risk-free, but remember to break it outside of the carpeted area.
Can be used during Sumo status if you break it while standing next to a wall → throw an item at the wall.
Heat-ban Incense
Incense that basically exists to counter Pop Tank family monsters.
Pop Tank family floors include Ornery Tank (45-50F), Adamant Tank (45-50F), and Steadfast Tank (51-56F).
The tank floor range is narrower, so use this incense instead of a Blank Scroll to get past it if possible.
Reflective Incense
Protects against magic bullets and many Draining type monster special attacks.
However, Skull Mage family monsters appear on a wide floor range, so this isn't enough to counter them.
Cautious Incense
Protects against monster special attacks that either steal or disarm your items.
Swordsman family monsters appear on a wide floor range, so this isn't enough to counter them.
Evasive Incense
Collect Porky's Rocks from Porky (6-10F), and Wooden Arrows from Bowboy (11-12F).
Keeps you safe from Porkon (77-99F) and Sleep Radish (84-99F)'s projectiles later on.
Scrolls
Confusion, Slumber, and Jitters scrolls are somewhat common.
Blank and Eradication scrolls appear in shops, but neither scroll is exactly on the common side.
Silverpurge, Silver-seal, Wall-less, and Expulsion scrolls are currently thought to be excluded from the item table.
Blank Scroll
Can be obtained from shops, wall tiles, or Transmutation Pots.
It's best to save 1 to use as an Eradication Scroll against either Skull Lord or Swordsman family monsters.
In any case, use Blank Scrolls very carefully, since you likely won't find many of them in any given run.
Eradication Scroll
Obtainable from shops and wall tiles, meaning you might read an unidentified one by accident.
Targets: Skull Mage family, Swordsman family, Sleep Radish, King Reaper, Mudster, Terror Scorpion, Pop Tank family.
If you have a Rousing Bracelet, consider eradicating the Swordsman family or Mudster over Skull Lord.
Jitters Scroll, Onigiri Scroll
Both are Cross-Mixing synthesis ingredients for fantastic "Payback" shield runes.
Jitters Scroll isn't too rare, but Onigiri Scroll is quite rare.
Slot-adding Scroll
Obtainable from shops, wall tiles, and item islands.
This dungeon never generates sacred items, so additional rune slots are quite valuable.
Side note, but Rune-eraser Scroll hasn't been sighted in this dungeon yet.
Monstercall Scroll
Dangerous when read without adequate preparation, but provides a chance to obtain more items.
Never read it on floors where item-destroying monsters like Field Knave or Fire Ninja D spawn.
Gambler's Scroll
10,000 Gitan can be a nice bonus if you get lucky with this scroll at the start of a run,
but reading this scroll can effectively end your run later on if you've synthesized Costly Hit or Costly Block.
Therefore, stop reading unidentified scrolls from mid game unless you've already identified this scroll.
Staves
Staves are common in this dungeon, so it's important to combine same name staves using Mixers.
Check if a newly found staff is cursed by swinging it 1 time, especially before throwing the staff at a Mixer.
Guiding Staff has been reported, but it seems to be incredibly rare - Peach Staff likely can't be found.
Skull Mage's Staff
Can be found on the ground or in shops - The random effect of the magic bullet isn't exactly reliable,
but making it a point to use this staff often results in conserving the charges of better staves.
It's tricky to discern between Skull Mage's Staff and Sluggish Staff if the Slow effect occurs.
Paralyzing Staff
Powerful staff that completely shuts down a monster, excluding the Hoppin' Batter family.
Also serves as a Cross-Mixing synthesis ingredient for the Paralyzing weapon rune.
Knockback Staff
Swing this staff → shoot arrows to safely defeat Mixers or other monsters that lack ranged attacks.
Can also be used to one-shot Ghost Samurai and Cave Mamel.
Burrowing Staff
Key item that grants entry into buried shops early on before you activate Sumo status.
Feel free to discard it once you've reached a point where you're sustaining Sumo status.
Narrow-escape Staff
Use it with a Monster-find Bracelet to locate the stairs, or Reflective Incense to warp to the stairs.
Some players like to prioritize inserting this staff into Upgrading Pot.
Fortune Staff
Level up a Mixer to synthesize more items, obtain Huge or Special onigiri from higher level Egg Things,
or hunt Cave Mamels (or Gitan Mamels if you also want Gitan) to level up near the start of a run.
Grass
Strength Grass
Quite rare in this dungeon, so finding 2 or more Strength Grass isn't a given.
If you want to equip 2 bracelets at the same time, plan on farming Special Onigiri from Hiding Eggs.
Revival Grass
The monster table ramps up in power quickly, so it's ideal to identify this grass early on.
Swift Grass, Invincible Grass
Powerful grasses that let you deal with crowds or tricky situations if needed.
These grasses aren't very common, but they're not particularly rare either.
Ill-fated Seed
Players have reportedly obtained it from shiny wall tiles, Chow, and item islands so far.
It probably isn't in the actual floor table, so grasses found on the ground (non-island) should be safe.
Food
Food is rarer than in Heart of Serpentcoil Island - It's common to go multiple floors without finding food.
Nigiri Baby doesn't appear, and you step in place to recover HP a lot thanks to hard-hitting monsters,
so it's surprisingly easy to collapse from starvation during early game prior to Nigiri Morph (27-31F) floors.
If you have 2 or fewer food items on hand, it's probably best to hurry to the next floor instead of lingering.
Linger for Mixers in moderation prior to performing Nigiri Morph Factory on 27F.
Egg Thing (19-20F), Flying Egg (40-44F), and Hiding Egg (72-80F) can be hunted for onigiri drops.
You can't get duplicate effects aside from Strength +1 when eating Special Onigiri on the same floor,
so eat all of them on the same floor if you want the best odds for Strength +1 or Knowledgeable status.
Sumo Onigiri hasn't been sighted so far, and is currently thought to be excluded from the item table.
Sweet Potato is another item that appears to be excluded from the item table.
Projectiles
Arrows can be collected from Bowboy (11-12F), or from various arrow traps on other floors.
Behemoths don't appear, but rocks are still nice for Masked Samurai family and Cave Mamel floors.
- Masked Samurai (8-13F), Raging Samurai (34-41F), Great Samurai (77-83F), Lordly Samurai (91-99F)
- Cave Mamel (30-58F)
Farming Techniques
Cave Mamel / Gitan Mamel Hunting (1-3F)
It's possible to level up Pit Mamel (1-3F) using Disguising or Fortune staves, Jitters Scroll, etc.
Player level is extremely important for surviving early game power monsters before you reach Mixers on 16F.
Cave Mamel is best if you just want to level up, but Gitan Mamel provides 2,000 Gitan each for shops.
Porky's Rock Collecting (6-10F)
Evasive Incense can be used to collect Porky's Rocks from Porky (6-10F).
Arrow Collecting (11-12F)
Soldier Ant (7-11F) and Bowboy (11-12F) overlap on 11F, so you can use terrain to collect arrows.
Otherwise, you'll probably need an item like Earthmound Staff or Evasive Incense to collect arrows.
If you want Iron Arrows instead of Wooden Arrows, simply have the Bowboy defeat a monster beforehand.
Nigiri Morph Factory (27-31F)
Nigiri Morph (27-31F)'s special attack has a 100% chance to turn an inventory item into a Large Onigiri.
However, it has higher stats (85 HP, 35 atk, 30 def), so you'll want to lower its level or attack power first.
Poison Arrows, Poison Grass, Sluggish Staff, and Bad-aim Bracelet + Removal or Hunger traps are helpful.
Use a secondary shield if your main shield has Jitter Payback, Onigiri Payback, or Retribution runes.
Lastly, beware of Porko pelting you with Porky's Rocks, and read a Mapping Scroll if possible.
Greenwalrus Hunting (28-32F)
Greenwalrus (28-32F) can be hunted for guaranteed item drops if you can deal with other threats.
The Frontal Attack rune, Monster-find and Cursebreak bracelets, and Mapping Scroll are all helpful.
Keep in mind that you can use Blast Traps or Dragon's flame to grill onigiri if you have Onigiri Payback.
Notable Threats for Lingering
- 28F - Nigiri Morph, Curse Girl
- 29-31F - Nigiri Morph, Pot Knave, Daze Radish
- 32F - Daze Radish
Floor Guide
1-3F
Notable: Pit Mamel (1-3F), Pullfrog (2-4F), Firepuff (3-4F), Pumphantasm (3-4F), Scorpion (3-6F)
There are usually 7-8 items per floor between 1-4F, so be sure to fully explore each floor early on.
Traps never seem to be generated in rooms on 1F, so you don't need to worry about Rock Trap accidents.
If you equip an unidentified bracelet and end up stepping on a trap, it's likely a Trapmore Bracelet.
Sacred items don't appear, so expect equipment base values to be lower than in Heart of Serpentcoil Island.
Weapons and shields aren't super common, so you might not even find one of each within 1-2F on some runs.
Therefore, do your best to stay topped up on HP, and avoid getting surrounded in hallways and rooms.
Pullfrog (2-4F) makes it easy to claim island items without an Earthmound Staff or such.
Firepuff (3-4F) can grill onigiri, so some players like to place Large Onigiri on the ground.
Stronger foes like Pumphantasm and Scorpion appear starting on 3F, so aim to reach Lv4 by the end of 2F.
Pit Mamel exits the monster table after 3F, so hunting Cave Mamels should be done between 1-3F.
It might seem wise to do so, but don't use up all items in an attempt to avoid losing strength from Scorpions,
since that will leave you without a means to deal with upcoming tougher threats.
Monster Stats (1-3F)

4-9F
Notable: Scorpion (3-6F), Karakuroid (4-7F), Porky (6-10F), Fire Ninja D (7-9F), Masked Samurai (8-13F)
Karakuroid (4-7F) has Swift 1 speed + high attack power, so beware if your shield is weak.
If you lucked out and found Poison Arrows or a strong shield, let it create some useful traps.
Arrow traps can be used to obtain arrows, and Removal Trap can be used to safely identify equipment.
Average count for items generated on the ground decreases to 5-6 items per floor starting from 5F.
Porky (6-10F) throws Porky's Rocks within a 3 tile radius, dealing a fixed 20 damage.
Fire Ninja D (7-9F) burns items, so explore quickly to try and claim items before they get destroyed.
Masked Samurai (8-13F) revives as Ghost Samurai when slain → levels up another monster.
Fixed damage items like Rocks can one-shot Ghost Samurai, but otherwise you'll have to corner it in a room.
If you have decent items, let a Ghost Samurai level up a Porky → hunt the Porko (65 HP) for 840 exp.
Hoppin' Slugger (72 HP) and Raging Samurai (100 HP) both provide 400 exp, but are harder to hunt.
If possible, reach Lv18-20 before advancing to 11F so that you can deal with Pumpanshee more easily.
Monster Stats (4-9F)

9-11 | Mid Chintala | 45 | 23 | 10 | 27 | Beast |
10-14F
Notable: Masked Samurai (8-13F), Field Knave (10-11F), Bowboy (11-12F), Pumpanshee (11-14F), Gazer (12-15F)
A shop is guaranteed to be generated on 10F, unless it gets overwritten by a maze or Monster House.
Monster attack power ramps up starting on 11F, but Mixers don't appear until 16F at the earliest.
Field Knave (10-11F) turns items into Weeds, so explore quickly if you want to try and claim items.
Pumpanshee (11-14F) wall-clips and has high attack power, so don't rush into hallways without thinking.
It's best to step in place in the starting room to lure Pumpanshees closer before entering a hallway.
Bowboy (11-12F) and Soldier Ant (7-11F) overlap on 11F, making it possible to collect arrows using terrain.
Arrows are nice against Pumpanshee now, and also Big Chintala, Curse Girl, and Mixer later on.
Gazer (12-15F) hypnotizes you when adjacent - Use arrows if you can't one-shot it with a normal attack.
Nashagga (13-16F) attacks 2 times in a row, but you'll likely be fine if you can deal with Pumpanshee.
Tiger Thrower (14-17F) can create tricky situations by throwing creatures, especially in Monster Houses.
Monster Stats (10-14F)
Floor | Monster | HP | Atk | Def | Exp | Type |

14-17 | Tiger Thrower | 68 | 26 | 22 | 77 | Beast |
15-22F
Notable: Mudkin (15-21F), Big Chintala (15-21F), Mixer (16-36F), Okina Monk D (18-20F), Egg Thing (19-20F),
Thiefwalrus (19-22F), Tengu Monk D (20-21F), Hannya Monk D (20-23F), Brodillo (20-26F), Curse Girl (20-28F)
Big Chintala (15-21F) has a whopping 85 HP and 40 attack power despite appearing as early as 15F.
Always fight it 1 vs 1, and either retreat to heal HP, shoot a Poison Arrow, or swing a staff as needed.
Mudkin (15-21F) lowers equipment upgrade value, which makes it even harder to survive encounters.
The Rustproof rune helps, but remember that you have fewer rune slots to work with in this dungeon.
As an alternative, keep 2 slots open in a Preservation Pot and insert (multi-select) your gear when adjacent.
This technique is also helpful for when Okina Monk D (18-20F) warps Mudkins right next to you.
Lv1 Okina & Kitsune (18-20F), Tengu (20-21F), and Hannya (20-23F) monks appear between 18-23F.
Thiefwalrus (19-22F) often gets woken up, and Big Chintala or Brodillo can level up due to Berserk status.
Worst case scenario, a Swift speed Huge Chintala or such can potentially be warped next to you on 20F.
Monks also easily cause accidents while trying to synthesize with Mixers, so just rush to the stairs.
That said, if you have an Evasive Incense or an applicable bracelet, you can obtain Confusion or Sedating grass
for weapon rune synthesis purposes from a leveled up Ghost Radish thanks to Hannya Monk D on 20F.
Egg Thing (19-20F) always drops an Onigiri when slain, which can be grilled by Pop Tank (19-21F).
Brodillo (20-26F) has stats comparable to Big Chintala and can cause pots to break from tripping.
Its ability usage rate is high, so Balance Staff runs out of uses quickly if you need more than 2 hits to slay it.
Sumo status is hard to activate at this point, so shoot arrows → finish it off with a normal attack instead.
Also beware of the combo of being tripped → Pop Tank destroying dropped items on 20-21F.
Curse Girl (20-28F) curses your equipped shield, making you unable to synthesize shield runes.
Similar to Brodillo, shoot arrows from a distance → finish Curse Girl off with a normal attack.
If she's too close, either swing a staff or unequip your shield if you're high level and have plenty of HP.
The latter will be quite painful, but it's better than being unable to synthesize assuming you survive.

Notable: Mixer (16-36F), Brodillo (20-26F), Curse Girl (20-28F), Water Ninja C (24-26F), Porko (27-30F),
Nigiri Morph (27-31F), N'dulu (27-31F), Greenwalrus (28-32F), Dark Owl (28-99F), Pot Knave (29-31F),
Daze Radish (29-32F), Dragon (29-33F), Great Hen (29-36F), Sky Dragon (30-36F), Cave Mamel (30-58F)
A shop is guaranteed to be generated on 25F, unless it gets overwritten by a maze or Monster House.
Lv2 Ninjas include Tree & Earth (23-24F), and Metal & Water (24-26F) - Fire Ninja C doesn't appear at all.
Lingering for Mixers between 24-26F lets you collect Gitan from Metal Ninja C for shops at the same time.
Nigiri Morph (27-31F)'s special attack has a 100% chance to turn 1 inventory item into Large Onigiri.
Nigiri Morph Factory can be performed if you need food or want to activate Sumo status, but it can be tricky
since Soldier Ant family monsters (27-30F) prevent sealing off rooms, and Pot Knave (29-31F) also appears.
You'll also need to withstand attacks from Daze Radish, Porko, and Curse Girl in addition to Nigiri Morph.
Your best bet is to use Poison Arrows or an Unlucky Staff against Nigiri Morph, then light an Evasive Incense.
If you have Bad-aim and Trapmore bracelets, skip Nigiri Morph Factory and use traps to obtain food instead.
Overall, don't push yourself too hard to obtain food here unless you're using the Voracious Hit weapon rune.
Get in the habit of separating synthesis ingredients and important items into separate pots.
This reduces the risk of losing everything at once if an entire pot gets turned into a Large Onigiri.
N'dulu (27-31F) also spawns, so be cautious when picking up items you find on the ground.
Daze Radish (29-32F), Dragon (29-33F), Sky Dragon (30-36F), and Great Hen (29-36F) can be rough.
Great Hen has 55 attack power, so think of it like a Swift 1 Sky Dragon without a special attack.
Greenwalrus (28-32F) can be hunted for items, but consider that Pot Knave and Nigiri Morph are around.
Losing pot capacity or other valuable items to these 2 monsters would defeat the point of lingering,
so it's probably best to rush to the stairs until 32F unless you have a Monster-find Bracelet.
Dark Owl (28-99F) isn't too troublesome on its own, but be wary if other monsters are nearby.
Don't underestimate its ability to cause accidents on floors where foes with nasty special attacks spawn.
Last but not least, Cave Mamel (30-58F) can surprise you with 100 attack power in dark hallways.
