Status Conditions
Overview
Status conditions are states that affect a character's behavior in various ways.
Most status conditions besides "Normal" can be categorized as positive, neutral, or negative.
Eating a Peach Bun or reverting from Morphed status cures all status conditions.

Paralyzed | 40 turns | None | Completely immobilized. Cannot take any actions. May be removed upon taking damage. Companions remain immobilized regardless of turns. |
Sealed | 20 turns | Rejuvenation Pot | Prevents use of certain actions. Cannot use Grass, Food, Scroll, or Stave. |
Disguised | - | - | Cannot gain this status effect. Companions appear as Shiren and will be actively targeted by monsters. |
Empathetic | Floor | Healing Grass Fragrant Grass Rejuvenation Pot | Feeling deep empathy for one's enemy. Takes the same amount of damage that the target takes. Removed when the target is defeated. |

Carry-ban | Floor | Healing Grass Fragrant Grass Rejuvenation Pot | Unable to pick up items on the ground. Cannot swap held items, but items can still be thrown or used as normal. |
Potted | Other | None | Unable to use one's hands. Cannot pick up or use items. Removed when the restraining pot is broken. |
Hiding | 20 turns | None | Stuck in a pot. Cannot do anything while inside the pot. Companions remain stuck inside regardless of turns. |
Laughing | 8 turns | None | Laughing too hard to do anything else. Causes nearby companions to start laughing too. Removed from everyone when one person stops laughing. |
Heat-negated | 150 turns | None | Feeling a blazing intensity. Damage will not be taken from fire or explosions. Removed when Incense wears off. |
Evasive | 150 turns | None | Thrown items are all avoided. Does not apply to fired projectiles like magic bullets. Removed when Incense wears off. |
Cautious | 150 turns | None | Being cautious about one's inventory and Gitan. Prevents belongings from being stolen, dropped, or parried. Removed when Incense wears off. |

Shadowbound | 4 turns | Leaping Grass Vaulting Staff Leaping Bracelet | Stuck in one place. Can still turn to face different directions. Removed after changing location by using an item or some other effect. |
Deluded | 20 turns | Otogirisou Healing Grass Fragrant Grass Rejuvenation Pot | Objects take on a strange appearance. Traps and items on the ground look like flowers, while other beings look like Young Woman. Companions will flee from other beings. |
Onigiri | 10 turns | Nigiri Stopper | Living deliciously as an onigiri. Cannot use items, and equipment cannot be activated. Collapses after getting wet or being grilled. |
Far-throwing | Floor | None | Fired Arrows and thrown items fly indefinitely, passing through walls and beings. Be careful not to throw any important items by accident! |

Tiptoe | Floor | None | Footsteps do not make any noise. Coming in and out of the room or standing adjacent to monsters with Napping status will not wake them up. |
Sumo | Other | None | Weight gain that increases Max HP and Attack Power. Negates items and effects that force movement, and crushes Traps underfoot without triggering them. Fullness decreases faster, and at 120 or less, Sumo status is removed, and Max Fullness decreases by 5. |
Morphed | Other | None | A monstrous transformation. Can use the monster's abilities. Transforming or reverting removes all other status effects. The transformation can be canceled at any time from the menu. |
Hypnotized | 2 turns | Gazer Shield | Under a monster's control. Attacks in erratic directions, removes equipment randomly, and uses inventory items at whim. |

Sound Asleep | 12 turns | Deep in a restful sleep. Cannot take any actions. Will not wake up even when taking damage. Upon waking up, Action Speed increases by 1. |
Jittery | 15 turns | Afraid that someone is creeping up from behind. Normal attacks go in the opposite direction. Does not affect movement, but abilities cannot be used. |
