Overview
There are many overworld areas in the game, and each village has its own NPCs and facilities.

Uzumaki-Ya (Inn)
- This is where you return to if you collapse.
Grandpa Uzu
- Talk to Grandpa Uzu inside the small, plain-looking house to receive an Onigiri.
- Uzu no longer gives you an Onigiri after a certain point, but the condition is unknown.
Warehouse
- Leave items on the ground to store them.
- Items inserted into a Warehouse Pot get sent here.
- 25 tiles total. (5x5)
Exit
- Head out to any dungeon you've unlocked before.
Item Holder (Storehouse / Bank)
- Store a maximum of 180 items (960 after update 1.1.0), and Gitan can also be stored.
- Unlocked after the first clear of Serpentcoil Island.
Traveling Blacksmith
- Unlocked after the first clear of Serpentcoil Island.
- Upgrade: 3000 Gitan.
- Service can be performed 9 times per adventure.
- Increase a selected weapon or shield's upgrade value by +1, or by +3 if you're lucky.
- Can transform the following items (runes remain up to specified slot count):
- Katana+99 → Kajin Fuuma (30 atk, 10 slots, innate Flame Shot rune)
- Manji Kabura+99 → Kabura Sutegi (50 atk, 15 slots)
- Fuuma Shield+99 → Rasen Fuuma (30 def, 15 slots)
- Remove Silver: 1000 Gitan.
- Removes the selected silver from a rune slot.
- Remove Rune: 5000 Gitan.
- Erases the selected rune from a rune slot.
Unsuspicious Shop
- If you lost a valuable weapon or shield inside a dungeon, this shop might have it in stock.
- Basically the replacement for Shiren 5 (Tower of Fortune)'s Tag system.
Wagoneer
- Fast-travel to other villages and overworld areas.
- Unlocked after the second clear of Serpentcoil Island.
- You can safely return to Shukuba Beach with your items and money after fast-traveling.
- The option to return to Shukuba Beach becomes unavailable if you enter a dungeon.
Peach Bun Shop
- Shop that sells 5 random Peach Buns per day.
- She prioritizes selling Peach Buns that are not recorded in your notebook.
- Unlocked after finishing the Peach Bun Side Quest.
Monster Dojo
- Training area where the player can freely place monsters and items to test gameplay.
- Unlocked after returning from a dungeon 3~4 times, accessed from inside Uzumaki-Ya.
Monster Pup
- Various monster pups will show up inside the box located next to Uzumaki-Ya.
- Interact with the monster to befriend it, and keep petting or offering things to raise friendship.
- Monster pups with max friendship can appear as Roamers inside certain dungeons.
- If you no longer want a monster pup around, ignore it and it will eventually go away.
Stone Monument
- Lets you access a harder version of Heart of Serpentcoil Island (99F dungeon).
- Unlocked after clearing Heart of Serpentcoil Island once.

Village Market (Item Shop)
- Item shop that stocks a variety of item categories.
- If you're lucky, you might even see a Manji Kabura or Fuuma Shield for sale.
Village Blacksmith
- Upgrade: 1000 Gitan.
- Service can only be performed once per adventure.
- Increase a selected weapon or shield's upgrade value by +1, or by +3 if you're lucky.

Harbor Inn Yuunagi
- Pay 500 Gitan to fully restore HP, Fullness, and Strength.
- Occasionally increases Max HP, Max Fullness, or Max Strength as a bonus.
Daily Mart (Item Shop)
- Shop that only sells 1 category of items each time you visit the area.
- Possible categories: Weapons, Shields, Bracelets, Grass, Scrolls, Staves, Pots.
- The merchandise won't change even if you change your Switch's clock.
Warehouse
- Leave items on the ground to store them.
- 15 tiles total. (5x3)
