Item

Wet Scroll + Fever Pot

Wet Scrolls can be duplicated by Fever Pots, even if the scrolls were different before becoming wet.
The resulting Wet Scrolls will match the first Wet Scroll you insert into the pot.

Example:

Insert a Wet Scroll (Blank Scroll)
Insert a Wet Scroll (Exorcism Scroll)
Insert a Wet Scroll (Vacuum Slash Scrl)
Fever Pot breaks, obtain 6 Wet Scrolls (Blank Scroll)

How to turn scrolls wet:

Throw a scroll at a Mixer.
Splash water on a scroll using a Water Pot.
Equip a Waterwalk Bracelet and walk on water tiles.
Tsunami dungeon event (DS version only)

2 Item Fever Pot

The minimum capacity where a Fever Pot duplicates items is actually 2 instead of 3.
This is useful when you want to duplicate very rare items like True Knife or Nirvana Board.

How to obtain a Fever Pot[2]:

Have Gyandora or Gyandoron peck a Fever Pot, reducing the pot's capacity to [0].
Read 2 Pot God Scrolls on the Fever Pot to increase its capacity to [2].

The quickest way to find a Gyandora is to level up a Gyadon in Tower of Fortune (2-3F).
You'll either need a shield without the Anti-Peck rune, or a Klein Pot and a strong weapon.

Dirt in Pots

Have Scoopie fill pots like Ordinary Pot, Sale Pot, or Sticky Pot with dirt to obtain grass items.
Black Hole Pot (dirt vanishes), Fever Pot (explodes), and Hide Pot (can't be filled) won't work.

Presto / Zalokleft Pot in Villages

Presto Pot and Zalokleft Pot have limited item tables in village warehouses.
This makes it easy to stock up on Escape Scrolls.

Nekomaneki Village - Onigiri, Escape Scroll
Hermit's Hermitage - Torch, Fine Torch, Escape Scroll
Sparrow's Inn - Fine Torch, Escape Scroll

No Damage Itemphobic

Step on an item and insert it into a pot instead of picking it up normally to avoid Itemphobic damage.
If you insert it into a Preservation Pot, you can then take the item out and use it normally.

Selling Sale Pot in Villages

When selling Sale Pots in villages, the Sale Pot's value includes items inside the pot.
This also applies to any Gitan bags that are inside the pot.

Max Number of Floor Items

The max number of items that can be on the ground on a floor is 128 items.
If you throw or try to place an item when the limit has been reached, the item will vanish.

Quick Hitting Rune

The Quick Hitting rune only has a chance to activate when your attack would hit another character.
It's not limited to adjacent direct attacks - It can activate with Tri-direction and Flame Shot.

Reusable Torches

Equipped torches can be used again if you throw them at Mixer type monsters.

Fragrance Pot Colors

Dodger - Green
Reflection - Purple
Zen - Blue
Perceptive - Yellow

Skill Point Boost

If you defeat the same monster consecutively, a multiplier gets added to the skill points you earn.
Details are unknown, but it's particularly noticeable when hunting Maneater type monsters.

Dungeon

Map Patterns

Dungeon maps change each time you go on an adventure, but some maps use fixed templates.
Example: CHUNSOFT maps, where the generated map is shaped as one of the letters in "CHUNSOFT".

Night in Destiny Trail

Time of day doesn't naturally cycle in Destiny Trail or Tower of the Past/Present/Future.
However, you can read a Night-Day Scroll to change time of day to night, which lasts for 5 turns.
Time of day returns to daytime when you advance floors.

Lava + Monster House

As long as 1 monster is still inside the Monster House, lava won't erupt inside the room.
If you want to take your time collecting items, consider paralyzing a monster.

No Ground Tiles Left

If you bury all ground tiles using a Fort. Staff and then unequip a Waterwalk or Floating bracelet
while standing on a water tile, you won't warp anywhere, and you won't be able to move.

Facility

One-Choice Shop

Collection Scroll can be used to claim the prize without having to step on a launch pad.
Losing at a Pick-A-Choice Shop on the last floor of a rescue attempt won't make you change floors.
※ The rock throwing trick from Shiren 4 to determine the winning side doesn't work in Shiren 5.

Reclaim Equipment Without Tags

Lost equipment can occasionally be found in the field in Inori Village if the item didn't have a tag.
If your items did have tags, go to the Sentry in Hermit's Hermitage to pick your items up.

The vocals used in the level up sound effect varies depending on which character levels up.
